We got tired of what
social media became.
So we are building something better. Unstaged is a photo-sharing app built around the belief that your attention belongs to you.
Where this started
Unstaged started as a conversation between people who loved photography and hated what sharing photos had become. The performance of it. The counting. The endless feed pulling you back when you had nothing left to see.
We wanted a place to share the small, honest moments of life. Not for likes. Not for reach. Just because a photo is worth sharing.
What we are building
Unstaged is a private photo sharing app. Every design decision is shaped by one question: does this serve the person using it, or does it serve the platform?
That means no like counts. No infinite scroll. No algorithm choosing what you see. Your feed ends when you have seen everything from the people you follow. Then we tell you to go outside.
"Your attention is the most valuable thing you own. We are not here to steal it."
Our principles
- We believe your attention and data should always belong to you, not the platform.
- All accounts are private by default. You see posts from people you follow. They see yours.
- Like counts are hidden. You share because you want to, not because you are chasing numbers.
- The feed ends. When you are caught up, we tell you. No recycled content, no padding.
- Notifications are informational. No red dots designed to manufacture urgency.
Where we are now
Unstaged is in active development. We are building the app, gathering feedback from our early waitlist, and preparing for a private beta. We will not rush to launch something that is not ready.
If you want to be among the first to try it, join the waitlist.
