We collect as little as possible. We sell nothing. We are straightforward about what we do and why.

Short version: We collect your email and the photos you share. We use them to run the service. We do not sell your data, show you ads, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Who we are
Unstaged is a photo-sharing application operated by Unstaged Ltd. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to Unstaged Ltd. You can reach us at Admin@unstaged.social.
What information we collect
When you create an account, we collect:
- Your email address
- Your chosen username and display name
- Your date of birth (to verify you are old enough to use the service)
- A password, stored as a secure one-way hash
When you use the app, we collect:
- Photos and videos you choose to upload
- Captions and location tags you add to posts
- Comments you write
- Follow relationships you create
- Basic usage data such as the time you spend in the app
What we do not collect
- We do not build advertising profiles
- We do not track your activity outside of Unstaged
- We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers
- We do not use your content to train AI models
How we use your information
We use your information solely to operate the service. This includes:
- Creating and securing your account
- Displaying your posts to your followers
- Sending you notifications about activity on your account
- Processing your subscription payment
- Responding to support or privacy requests
Photos and content
Photos you upload are stored securely and are only visible to your approved followers. All accounts are private by default. You can delete any post or your entire account at any time. When you delete content, it is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
You retain full ownership of all content you post on Unstaged. By posting, you grant us a limited licence to store and display that content to your followers as part of the normal operation of the service. We do not claim any ownership over your photos.
Third-party services
We use a small number of third-party services to operate Unstaged, including cloud hosting and payment processing. These services are contractually bound to handle your data only as necessary to provide those specific services. We do not use any third-party advertising technology.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the app. Upon deletion, your personal information is removed from our systems within 30 days. Some information may be retained for longer where required by law.

Children
Unstaged is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify users through the app if the changes are significant.
